We will be blessed by Keynote Presentations from Dr. Ross Cochran and Wes McAdams.

Classes will be taught by: Dr. Joey Cope, Jeff McMillon, Dr. Steve Cloer, and Seth McDowell.

Activities for Kids (Birth-8th) will be available during the conference.

Keynote Speakers

Dr. Ross Cochran

Ross Cochran has taught at Harding University for the past 30 years. A professor in the College of Bible, he has twice received the Distinguished Teacher Award. He holds a PhD in Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry from Boston College. Cochran has served churches in Limerick, Ireland, Memphis, Tennessee, Natick, Massachusetts, and Searcy, Arkansas. Ross was the Director of Camp Takohdah, Harding University’s Christian Summer Camp, from 2004-2011. Ross and his wife Nita, now in heaven, are the proud parents of three children: Chris, Allen, and Hannah.

Wes McAdams

Wes McAdams is the preaching minister for the church of Christ on McDermott Road. He and his wife, Hollee have two sons, Malachi and Noah. Wes has a degree in biblical studies from Amridge University and spent nearly a decade in youth and family ministry before he began preaching. Wes and Hollee have a passion for helping families grow closer to Jesus. Wes enjoys hanging out with his family, watching super hero movies, and writing. Wes is the author of the popular Radically Christian blog. 

 

Class Teachers

  Dr. Joey Cope   Joey Cope is the Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies and Associate General Counsel of ACU Dallas. He also serves as an associate professor in Abilene Christian University's graduate programs in conflict resolution and has served as an adjunct professor at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law, the William H. Bowen Law School at the University of Arkansas – Little Rock, and the Southern Methodist University Center for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. Dr. Cope founded ACU’s Duncum Center Solutions and works as a conflict resolution consultant with churches and organizations, nationally and internationally. Dr. Cope graduated with a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law.

Dr. Joey Cope

  Jeff McMillon   Jeff McMillon is the Dean of Spiritual Life at Oklahoma Christian University. McMillon comes to Oklahoma Christian after 16 years at Memorial Road Church of Christ, where he worked as the campus and teaching minister. After graduating from Oklahoma Christian with a degree in psychology, he earned a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Oklahoma State University. As a licensed counselor and therapist, McMillon worked at Century Healthcare, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, in addition to having his own private practice. He has also served as an adjunct professor of New Testament Bible at Oklahoma Christian.

Jeff McMillon

Jeff McMillon is the Dean of Spiritual Life at Oklahoma Christian University. McMillon comes to Oklahoma Christian after 16 years at Memorial Road Church of Christ, where he worked as the campus and teaching minister. After graduating from Oklahoma Christian with a degree in psychology, he earned a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Oklahoma State University. He and his wife, Lindsay, currently have three children, Joshua, Bethany, and Lydia. Steve graduated from Harding University with two B.A. degrees in Bible and Math. He received his MDiv in New Testament from Harding School of Theology and graduated with his DMin in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary.

He and his wife, Lindsay, currently have three children, Joshua, Bethany, and Lydia. Steve graduated from Harding University with two B.A. degrees in Bible and Math. He received his MDiv in New Testament from Harding School of Theology and graduated with his DMin in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary.

  Seth McDowell   Seth has served as the Senior Minister at Shawnee Trail since 2008. Before coming to Shawnee Trail he ministered at the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, OK and the Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond, OK. Seth also served as the campus minister at Oklahoma Christian University for two years. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Bible and Ministry in 2000 and a Master’s of Arts in Family Ministry in 2003. Seth has been married to Katie since 2002 and they have three children: Macy, Charlie and Emma.
