First Sunday of the Month
The first Sunday of each month, kids are invited to participate in worship through giving during our morning services. Kids can contribute with a monetary donation or an encouraging note or picture. All proceeds will help us love our community through a donation to Minnie’s Food Pantry to feed those in need.
VIP (Vision | Information| Prayer)
Attention: Children’s Ministry Volunteers. Join us for VIP (Vision, Information, and Prayer), our quarterly gathering for Bible Class volunteers! Before class, we’ll share important updates, dates, and training opportunities, as well as our vision for the months ahead. Most importantly, we’ll spend time praying together for you and the families we serve. We’d love you to be there—and a treat will be waiting for everyone who attends!

Our 3rd–5th Grade Summer Day Camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to build meaningful friendships and grow deeper in God’s Word.
We’ll spend three fun-filled days together at the church building with a service day, an off-campus adventure, on campus water activities, and so much more!
Who: Incoming 3rd–5th Grade Students Where: McDermott Rd. COC Campus (M&W) and Off-site (TUE) When: 6/15-6/17 9AM-3PM

3rd-5th Summer Camp
South Texas Mission Trip
June 20-25, 2026
What: We load up on the vans and caravan down to McAllen, Texas where we will work with local congregations and families.
Where: We will spend our nights in a facility McDermott Road members visits often throughout the year. During the day we will be all around the McAllen & Pharr areas.
When: June 20th - 25th
How much: $130/student. Includes lodging, food, travel, and fun.

Where: Pettijohn Springs Christian Camp (Madill, OK)

Boles Home Mission Trip
July 12-15, 2026
Who: 7th - 8th grade students
Where: Arms of Hope - Boles Children’s Home (Quinlan, TX)
We will serve the residents at the Boles Children’s Home.
Cost: $130 Includes lodging, food, travel, and fun.

Kids’ Bible Adventure
July 18, 2026
Who: Children 3 years old (and potty-trained) though 5th Grade
When: Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
What: Kids’ Bible Adventure is an immersive experience that will transport children back to ancient Rome to learn all about Paul. Kids will learn through skits, song, small group lesson, crafts and games! Lunch and snacks are provided!

Where: The Medford’s home
Time: 6-8pm
Swimwear: Everyone must wear a shirt and an appropriate swimsuit in the pool. Don't forget a towel and change of clothes!
FMSC Service Event
July 27, 2026
Who: 6th - 13th Grade students
Where: Feed My Starving Children location in Richardson, TX
Time: Meet at 10:15am at the church building. We will leave by 10:45am. We will return around 1:45pm with lunch to follow. Our serving session is from 11:30am - 1:15pm.
Limited spots available.
